MEETING YOU
\It’s that season
where we plant
and then watch
for the blooms.
No two plants bloom
or grow in the same manner.
Neither do people.
We must meet each other
and allow each other
to bloom and grow
in our own ways.
where we plant
and then watch
for the blooms.
No two plants bloom
or grow in the same manner.
Neither do people.
We must meet each other
and allow each other
to bloom and grow
in our own ways.
We all go through times like this
in our own way.
For some it brings out the best,
for others the worst.
Some of us deal better
with the stress
than others
What is important
is that no matter the circumstance,
we meet each other
where we are
and support each other
along the journey.
in our own way.
For some it brings out the best,
for others the worst.
Some of us deal better
with the stress
than others
What is important
is that no matter the circumstance,
we meet each other
where we are
and support each other
along the journey.

FREE
We are in uncharted and
unprecedented territory. Right?
At the same time, we are not.
We are in the territory of fear.
We are in a territory which enslaves us.
unprecedented territory. Right?
At the same time, we are not.
We are in the territory of fear.
We are in a territory which enslaves us.
What if we had a beginner’s mind
and we did not know we are supposed
to be afraid.
What if we saw this as an adventure?
What if we forgot we were
supposed to worry?
and we did not know we are supposed
to be afraid.
What if we saw this as an adventure?
What if we forgot we were
supposed to worry?
What if we freed ourselves
from worry
fear.
expectation,
prejudices
and concern.
What if we opened ourselves
up to faith,
trust,
love and adventure.
from worry
fear.
expectation,
prejudices
and concern.
What if we opened ourselves
up to faith,
trust,
love and adventure.
What if we took precautions
without worrying about
hoarding toilet paper.
What if we had faith we could
pay our bills in time.
What if we learned games
which allowed us to laugh
and play.
What if we found new ways of
relating and discovering
new things about ourselves
and others because
we set ourselves free.
without worrying about
hoarding toilet paper.
What if we had faith we could
pay our bills in time.
What if we learned games
which allowed us to laugh
and play.
What if we found new ways of
relating and discovering
new things about ourselves
and others because
we set ourselves free.

THE LEAST OF THEE
In these days,
we find so many who
feel beaten down and
who feel pushed
to the edge.
we find so many who
feel beaten down and
who feel pushed
to the edge.
There are those who
feel as if making it through
each day is like
walking a gangplank
and every action or inaction
feels personal.
feel as if making it through
each day is like
walking a gangplank
and every action or inaction
feels personal.
There are those
for whom living
in quarantine
feels like they are
living in the borderlands.
for whom living
in quarantine
feels like they are
living in the borderlands.
There are those who
feel as if they are running
from a bomb which
will blow up their lives,
living in fear of being homeless,
hungry,
and without health care.
feel as if they are running
from a bomb which
will blow up their lives,
living in fear of being homeless,
hungry,
and without health care.
May we be mindful
that not all are coping
or have a social network
and someone is in
need of us to reach out
to those who have been
or are feeling like
the least of thee
that not all are coping
or have a social network
and someone is in
need of us to reach out
to those who have been
or are feeling like
the least of thee

COURAGE
Scared,
nervous,
uncomfortable
all of the above,
however, in the midst
of the storm
I tap into my courage
I hold onto the one
who gives me peace,
joy, and
courage.
nervous,
uncomfortable
all of the above,
however, in the midst
of the storm
I tap into my courage
I hold onto the one
who gives me peace,
joy, and
courage.
Courage
it is what inspires me
to step forward in faith.
Courage does not mean
I am not afraid.
It just means
I overcome it.
It means I master it.
It means I resist it.
It just means I walk in my
courage.
it is what inspires me
to step forward in faith.
Courage does not mean
I am not afraid.
It just means
I overcome it.
It means I master it.
It means I resist it.
It just means I walk in my
courage.

PARADISE
I remember a Rabbi once saying
Sit in Paradise when you read,
when you study Torah,
when you pray, and
anytime you seek to be
with God
Sit in Paradise when you read,
when you study Torah,
when you pray, and
anytime you seek to be
with God
Paradise has always been
hard for me to envision, to see,
to experience,
so it has felt as if there is a barrier
to being in the deepest state
with God
hard for me to envision, to see,
to experience,
so it has felt as if there is a barrier
to being in the deepest state
with God
Paradise now
for me is not anything special, but
those everyday moments that
bring me to a place of peace,
joy, and
openness.
for me is not anything special, but
those everyday moments that
bring me to a place of peace,
joy, and
openness.
Paradise
is that feeling of being
wrapped in God’s loving arms
like a warm, cozy blanket.
It is the smell of freshly mowed grass.
It is the tastes,
touches,
sounds,
feelings, and
appearances,
which bring me to a space
of closeness and intimacy
with God
is that feeling of being
wrapped in God’s loving arms
like a warm, cozy blanket.
It is the smell of freshly mowed grass.
It is the tastes,
touches,
sounds,
feelings, and
appearances,
which bring me to a space
of closeness and intimacy
with God

Twinkle, twinkle little star
how I wondered what you were
when I was young and did not know
and experienced all of life
for the first time and
everything was new.
how I wondered what you were
when I was young and did not know
and experienced all of life
for the first time and
everything was new.
Today I wonder with my students
and the young people in my life
who are discovering life and
sharing their wonder with me
and reminding me to see
the wonder in all things new.
and the young people in my life
who are discovering life and
sharing their wonder with me
and reminding me to see
the wonder in all things new.
I may no longer wonder about the stars
but I can appreciate the joy and mystery
of those who are discovering
things for the first time,
just as my elders are discovering
with me
the mysteries revealing themselves
in this stage of my journey.
but I can appreciate the joy and mystery
of those who are discovering
things for the first time,
just as my elders are discovering
with me
the mysteries revealing themselves
in this stage of my journey.

SONG OF THE WEEK
"On difficult days, the song I blast from my speakers is 'I Hope You Dance' by Lee Ann Womack. It reminds me that bravery is an option I choose, in business and in life. The lyrics 'Never settle for the path of least resistance / Livin' might mean taking chances, but they're worth takin'' inspire me to take the next step, reach out to the next person, keep trying to be heard over the noise that surrounds us." – Hope Saidel, president, Golly Gear https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=90&v=RV-Z1YwaOiw&feature=emb_logo
