THE ONE WHO IS NOT BUSY
The one who is not busy,
is about the time spent
doing nothing but being
with the Ultimate.

IN THE SILENCE
It is quiet in my home,
or so it seems.
All but me are sleeping,
and I can hear the sound
of my fingers on the keyboard.
However, it is when I stop
and listen
that I hear the sounds
which allude me when I am
not listening.

the symphony
which can only play

which come from the percussions
in my home.

SILENCE
I sit here and
there is nothing but noise.
The sounds of the house,
the computer,
the music Zoe is listening to,
and the radio playing in my head.

It is hard to hear
the messages of the Divine
when my head is filled with nothing
but noise.

where I can sit and turn off the noise

DROP IN CENTER
It is always nice
in the case of an emergency
to have a drop-in center.
What if we were our own
drop-in center.
What if we took quiet times
and listened to the wisdom
in the silence.

SILENT
It has been a while since I silenced my brain enough to write a piece of poetry. So this morning I decided I would be intentional about turning off my non stop radio station in my brain and see what flowed out. I was inspired by a verse from Psalm 46 that says Be still and know that I am God.
