THERE IS A REASON

Ecclesiastes says,
To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under
the heaven:
In every event,
in every relationship,
in every situation
there is a meaning,
a lesson,
a gift,
which is there to teach us
To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under
the heaven:
In every event,
in every relationship,
in every situation
there is a meaning,
a lesson,
a gift,
which is there to teach us
When we fail to look
when we fail to question
and ask what is the meaning
we miss out on the opportunity
to learn,
to grow,
to evolve,
or to understand
the gift we are
experiencing
when we fail to question
and ask what is the meaning
we miss out on the opportunity
to learn,
to grow,
to evolve,
or to understand
the gift we are
experiencing
Even in this moment
in this poem,
there is a reason,
a lesson
the universe is trying
to teach you.
What is your lesson?
in this poem,
there is a reason,
a lesson
the universe is trying
to teach you.
What is your lesson?

GOD SMILES
This week has been filled with distractions.
People have died.
People have been placed in hospice
People have been forced to move
People have been going through
the most challenging of times
So many people in need of prayer.
In the midst of the storms,
I seek God’s smile.
People have died.
People have been placed in hospice
People have been forced to move
People have been going through
the most challenging of times
So many people in need of prayer.
In the midst of the storms,
I seek God’s smile.
in the midst of the distractions,
in the midst of Mr Mittens needing surgery,
in the midst of friends having to move in with us.
in the midst of the end of month stress
in the midst of the first week of school confusion
in the midst of the grief, the frustration, and the pain
I seek God’s smile.
in the midst of Mr Mittens needing surgery,
in the midst of friends having to move in with us.
in the midst of the end of month stress
in the midst of the first week of school confusion
in the midst of the grief, the frustration, and the pain
I seek God’s smile.
When I seek God’s smile
I lose track of the distractions,
I lose track of the pain,
the suffering,
the stressors
and find myself in a
momentary state of peace.
I lose track of the distractions,
I lose track of the pain,
the suffering,
the stressors
and find myself in a
momentary state of peace.
Then it fades
and the distractions suck me back.
It becomes like a game of
hide and seek while I try to
hide from the distractions and
seek God’s smile and
work to stay in the presence of
God’s smile.
and the distractions suck me back.
It becomes like a game of
hide and seek while I try to
hide from the distractions and
seek God’s smile and
work to stay in the presence of
God’s smile.

JUDGE NOT
Judge not,
lest ye be judged.
Yet we judge all the time.
We judge
people,
places,
things, and
everything else
lest ye be judged.
Yet we judge all the time.
We judge
people,
places,
things, and
everything else
We fail to see that
everyone and everything
has a purpose
and a place.
What if we sought
the goodness and value
in every person,
place,
and thing?
everyone and everything
has a purpose
and a place.
What if we sought
the goodness and value
in every person,
place,
and thing?
May we seek
to see the presence
and blessings of the
Ultimate in all.
May we remember
to not judge others
and may we pray that others
not judge us.
to see the presence
and blessings of the
Ultimate in all.
May we remember
to not judge others
and may we pray that others
not judge us.

T IS FOR THREE ONION RUB
Three Onion Rub is more than a few of my customer’s favorite rubs and is a staple in their homes. Besides which, at $6 a bottle, it is easily affordable. So it was easy to pick this product as one of the many products we carry starting with a T.
What many people do not know is that our pantry products are exclusive eto the Pampered Chef and designed in our Test Kitchens at our Home Office. It is a blend of red onion, yellow onion, and onion powder. Three kinds of onions which live harmoniously in one bottle, each bringing their unique flavors and gifts to the table. Not only that but if you somehow run out of onions, which I have managed to do, you can use three tablespoons of Three Onion Rub to replace one medium onion.
Did you know that our tasty spice rubs & blends are kosher & gluten free? What I love most is the simple lesson it teaches me. If we allow ourselves to open ourselves up we can be like any one of the three onions and work together in perfect harmony. It is a reminder that a diverse group of people (onions) can come together to create something even greater then themselves. We each have a purpose in life. However, we also have the opportunity to work together with others to make this world a better place. Our Three Onion rub can do that to your food and we can do that as human beings.

GOD'S PLAN
God’s plan for our lives,
is not always ours,
well truth be known it rarely is.
See God this way of bringing
is not always ours,
well truth be known it rarely is.
See God this way of bringing
people and situations into our lives
which we would often times prefer
were not the answer
to our prayers.
which we would often times prefer
were not the answer
to our prayers.
God’s plan for our life
is not about what we want
for our lives
but what are going to help us
develop a deeper relationship with God.
is not about what we want
for our lives
but what are going to help us
develop a deeper relationship with God.
It might be the person who
gets on your last nerve, or
having to wait 3 ½ hours for a ride home,
when you cannot drive, or
that situation which makes you
want to have a meltdown at Walmart, or
you can fill in your own blank,
gets on your last nerve, or
having to wait 3 ½ hours for a ride home,
when you cannot drive, or
that situation which makes you
want to have a meltdown at Walmart, or
you can fill in your own blank,
God’s plan is not about what we want
or who we want to interact with.
God’s plan is about us and
removing the obstacles which
are blocking us from our own
evolution and deepening
relationship with God.
This is God’s plan for us.
Growing closer to the
Divine who lives in us and
guides us through our lives.
This is God’s plan.

GOODNESS
Goodness, Thoreau said,
is the only investment that never fails.
What if goodness was a fund?
What if every act of goodness or kindness
was a deposit?
How wealthy am I?
What is my fund looking like?
is the only investment that never fails.
What if goodness was a fund?
What if every act of goodness or kindness
was a deposit?
How wealthy am I?
What is my fund looking like?
When I think about goodness,
I am reminded of lyrics from a song
which cause me to ask if I have done any good today.
At the end of the day can I say
I cheered up those who needed some love and light.
Can I say I made someone find the
happiness within themselves again.
Can I say I helped someone
who needed a friendly hand.
I am reminded of lyrics from a song
which cause me to ask if I have done any good today.
At the end of the day can I say
I cheered up those who needed some love and light.
Can I say I made someone find the
happiness within themselves again.
Can I say I helped someone
who needed a friendly hand.
These are the things which are
worthwhile investments
Random acts of kindness
Words which uplift
That which makes it on earth
As it is in heaven
worthwhile investments
Random acts of kindness
Words which uplift
That which makes it on earth
As it is in heaven

MY YEARNING
I sit and close my eyes
and yearn for the depth,
the closeness,
the longing to know you
and know you as completely
as you know me.
and yearn for the depth,
the closeness,
the longing to know you
and know you as completely
as you know me.
It was you who gave me the capacity to love,
to speak,
to determine,
to dream,
to hope,
to create, and
to survive.
to speak,
to determine,
to dream,
to hope,
to create, and
to survive.
You know me
completely
just as I yearn
to know you
with the same depth
you know me
but I don’t.
completely
just as I yearn
to know you
with the same depth
you know me
but I don’t.
I know I will again,
perhaps not until
I am with you again
but that day will come.
perhaps not until
I am with you again
but that day will come.
Until then, I allow you
to use me,
to mold me,
to help me
become a spiritual warrior,
constantly seeking
to know the me
you created me to be
to use me,
to mold me,
to help me
become a spiritual warrior,
constantly seeking
to know the me
you created me to be
So the yearning continues
and teaches me about myself
about you
and all the other me’s you
bring into my life
who teach me and deepen
my yearning for you .
and teaches me about myself
about you
and all the other me’s you
bring into my life
who teach me and deepen
my yearning for you .

THANK YOU MOM!

Last night I was watching a video Zoe had found about gratitude and happiness. In the video, people wrote letters to someone they were grateful for in their lives. Then they were asked to call that person and read them the letter if they could. This morning I woke up thinking about my mom. I am so grateful for all she taught me during her time here on earth. One of the things she taught me about was how to be compassionate towards others. Mom, I hope that you can read these words as I put them out into the Universe, that place where we are of one (uni) verse. That place where we are one with each other. I love you. If you were here and I had to read this to you, I would probably go through about three boxes of tissues.
